Each afternoon, the oldest Kindergarten students at Lake Champlain Waldorf School in Shelburne, Vermont are led through engaging activities that include integrative floor exercises, gross motor movements, balance and core work as well as auditory and visual games. Learn about the ways that these children spend their afternoons while joyfully engaging their bodies and senses.

Shari Carlson teaches Parent and Child classes in the mornings and rising first graders each afternoon at LCWS, where she has worked with early childhood students for fifteen years. She is an AHE graduate and also holds a certificate from the Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training. Her three children, now adults, are all LCWS alums.

AHE has received many inquiries about how to attend to the needs of children through teacher enrichment and student support programs. This panel will present highlights and challenges to establishing ESPs as an integrated influence in a school. Following the short presentations, we will open the conversation to hear your experiences and thoughts, which are very important to us. Your contributions will help us develop our services to schools through workshops, long term training, and on-line consulting.

Issues of funding, teacher training, and program priorities will be addressed. Please help us be informed and add to this conversation.
